AutoClerk PMS pricing and what a small hotel pays per year
AutoClerk does not publish PMS pricing. The vendor site shows no price list, Hotel Tech Report shows room count tiers with no dollar amounts, and one directory lists a per room starting figure of a few dollars that we could not verify and would not budget from. The honest answer is that you need a written quote. Innkeeper publishes every plan, so a 8 to 30 room property can compare it with a 12 month AutoClerk total: the Hotel plan is $888 a year billed yearly with the booking engine, channels and deposits included.
How much does AutoClerk PMS cost?
AutoClerk sells through its sales team and quotes per property. Here is what the public sources show:
| Source type | What it shows | What it likely means |
|---|---|---|
| AutoClerk website | No prices, contact sales | Quote per property |
| Hotel hardware and software review site | Pricing by request, tiers by room count from 1 to 9 up to 500 plus | The price scales with rooms, no number given |
| Software directory snippet | A starting figure of a few dollars per room per month | Unverified, the directory page itself would not load for us |
| Review site | Says the vendor has not provided pricing | No public number |
Treat every figure as a planning guess. The only number that counts is a written quote for your room count.
What the price is meant to cover
AutoClerk sells a front desk PMS with an integrated web booking engine, integrations with more than 50 partner systems and card processing. It has been used heavily by franchised hotels, and Best Western Hotels and Resorts has owned it since 2019. The vendor homepage also mentions one day onboarding and phone support.
A 10 to 30 room owner-run inn usually needs a narrower set: tape chart, channel sync, housekeeping board, invoices and a booking button on the website. If a module you need is a separate line in the quote, your real price is higher than the headline.
What to ask for in a written AutoClerk quote
- Whether the price is per room, per user or flat, and what happens when you add rooms.
- Which product you are quoted, the newer cloud Atlas product or an older web or Windows install, and who hosts and updates it.
- Whether the booking engine and channel connections are in the base price and what each costs.
- The one-time cost of onboarding, data migration and training.
- Included staff users and the price of each extra user.
- Support hours and whether support is included in the subscription.
- Card processing, tokenization and any per-transaction fee.
- The contract term, renewal terms and notice period to cancel.
The one question that settles the comparison is the 12 month total: subscription, onboarding and every module you need to sell rooms. Read the auto-renewal and notice clauses carefully, and if you keep several vendor agreements, contract management software can flag renewal dates before they pass.
AutoClerk PMS cost per year by room count, next to Innkeeper
Because there is no price list, we cannot fill the AutoClerk columns with a number we trust. The table shows what Innkeeper costs and leaves the AutoClerk column for the figure from your own quote.
| Rooms | AutoClerk per year | Innkeeper billed yearly | Innkeeper paid monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | From your quote | $288 (Inn) | $588 (Inn) |
| 20 | From your quote | $888 (Hotel) | $1,788 (Hotel) |
| 30 | From your quote | $888 (Hotel) | $1,788 (Hotel) |
| 50 | From your quote | $2,988 (Boutique) | $5,988 (Boutique) |
| 80 | From your quote | $2,988 (Boutique) | $5,988 (Boutique) |
To compare, take your AutoClerk 12 month total and add onboarding, training, the booking engine, channel connections and card fees if they are separate lines. Innkeeper has no setup fee, no booking commission and includes the booking engine and channel manager.
When AutoClerk is still the right system
If your hotel is franchised and the brand wants chain reservation connections, or you have run AutoClerk for years and the team knows it, staying is reasonable. We do not offer an open API or chain central reservation connections, and a property that needs them should not switch to Innkeeper.
For an owner-run inn, B&B, motel or small hotel the picture changes. You need to avoid double bookings, take direct reservations without commission, keep housekeeping moving and send accurate invoices. A price you can read before you talk to anyone is part of that.
Where Innkeeper fits on price
Innkeeper is a cloud PMS for owner-run inns, motels, B&Bs and small hotels up to 80 rooms. Every plan is on the hotel PMS pricing page: Inn at $49 a month for up to 10 rooms, Hotel at $149 for up to 30 rooms and Boutique at $499 for up to 80 rooms, or about half that billed yearly. There is no setup fee and no booking commission.
If you are leaving AutoClerk, see the AutoClerk PMS alternative page for the side by side table and the four switching steps, or compare the Cloudbeds alternative and Opera PMS pricing if you are still deciding.
AutoClerk PMS pricing questions
How much does AutoClerk PMS cost per month?
AutoClerk does not publish a monthly price. Directories either say pricing is on request or show unverified starting figures. Ask for a written quote and compare the 12 month total, including onboarding and every module.
Does AutoClerk have a free trial?
We could not confirm one. One directory says there is none, and the vendor site points to a sales conversation. Ask how you can test it before paying. Innkeeper has a live demo you can open without a sales call.
Is AutoClerk PMS cloud based?
The vendor calls its Atlas product cloud based and has also sold web and Windows based versions. Ask which one your quote covers.
Is AutoClerk cheaper than Innkeeper?
We cannot say without your quote. Innkeeper's Hotel plan is $888 a year billed yearly for up to 30 rooms with the booking engine and channels included, so compare that with your AutoClerk total for the same 12 months.
What is a cheaper alternative to AutoClerk for a small hotel?
For an inn, B&B, motel or small hotel up to 80 rooms, a cloud PMS with a published price and the booking engine and channels inside the plan. Innkeeper starts at $288 a year for up to 10 rooms, and Hotel at $888 a year covers up to 30.
