Frontdesk Anywhere pricing and what an independent hotel pays after the Mews move

Frontdesk Anywhere pricing was never published. Software directories listed the cloud PMS from $100 a month with a free trial, and every hotel got a quote from a consultant based on rooms, integrations and location. Mews bought Frontdesk Anywhere in January 2024, the old domain now redirects to Mews, and a third-party listing reports that support ended on December 31, 2025. For most small hotels the real question in 2026 is what the next system costs, and per-room Mews quotes are reported at about $300 a month for 12 rooms, against $888 a year for the same property on Innkeeper billed yearly.

How much does Frontdesk Anywhere cost?

Frontdesk Anywhere was listed from $100 a month on Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice, with packages quoted by a consultant rather than sold from a price list. SoftwareSuggest showed a Basic plan at $1,200 a year and a Pro plan at $1,800 a year. The final number depended on room count, the integrations you asked for and where the property was.

That is the historical price. Mews acquired the company, and new hotels cannot buy Frontdesk Anywhere as a separate product today, so the number that matters for your budget is the quote for whatever you move to. Innkeeper is a separate company and is not affiliated with Frontdesk Anywhere or Mews, and we publish every plan so you can compare without a sales call.

What the listed price included

Frontdesk Anywhere was founded in San Francisco in 2009 and built for independent hotels. PhocusWire reported customers in more than 45 countries at the time of the acquisition. Its directory listings describe a fairly complete cloud PMS for the price:

  • Reservations, front desk, check-in and check-out checklists
  • A channel manager with more than 350 OTA connections listed
  • A commission-free booking engine for the hotel website and Facebook page
  • Group and corporate bookings with their own payment rules
  • Guest and company profiles for repeat business and marketing
  • Revenue management and payment processing

For a 20 to 60 room independent hotel, $100 to $150 a month for all of that was a good deal. A third-party review did note that its revenue management, advanced reporting and complex group handling were more basic than enterprise systems, which is a fair trade at that price.

What changed after Mews bought Frontdesk Anywhere

Mews announced the acquisition through Mews Ventures in January 2024. The terms were not disclosed, and CEO Joe Kiernan and the team stayed on. Mews called it its third North American acquisition in under a year and said it expected a smooth transition for customers.

Here is where things stand as far as anyone outside can verify. When we checked in October 2026, frontdeskanywhere.com returned a permanent redirect to a page on mews.com. Toolradar, a software listing site, reports that support for Frontdesk Anywhere ended on December 31, 2025, that customers were encouraged to move to Mews, and that Mews offered free setup and data migration to customers who switched before September 1, 2025. Neither Mews nor its acquisition page states these dates today, so treat them as reported and ask Mews in writing what your own contract still covers.

What it means for the bill is simple. A hotel that stays inside the same vendor family moves from a quoted plan that started around $100 a month to Mews pricing, which works per room.

Frontdesk Anywhere cost per year by room count, and what replaces it

The table sets the old Frontdesk Anywhere listing next to what Mews is reported to charge and what Innkeeper charges on its published plans. Mews does not publish numbers. Its figures come from the third-party reports we collected in our Mews pricing breakdown, which put the PMS at about $8 to $15 per room a month, about $300 a month at 12 rooms and $1,050 to $1,250 a month at 45 rooms with common add-ons.

Rooms Frontdesk Anywhere, as listed Mews, as reported Innkeeper billed yearly Innkeeper paid monthly
8 $1,200 to $1,800 a year, quote based From about $3,600, the reported entry price $288 (Inn) $588 (Inn)
12 $1,200 to $1,800 a year, quote based About $3,600 $888 (Hotel) $1,788 (Hotel)
24 Quote based, rose with rooms and integrations About $3,600 to $4,300 at up to $15 per room $888 (Hotel) $1,788 (Hotel)
45 Quote based About $12,600 to $15,000 $2,988 (Boutique) $5,988 (Boutique)
60 Quote based Quote only, above the 45-room figure $2,988 (Boutique) $5,988 (Boutique)

Read it honestly. Frontdesk Anywhere's old listing was competitive for a mid-size hotel, and paying Innkeeper month to month at 12 or 24 rooms costs about the same as that listing did. Billed yearly, Innkeeper is the lowest of the three at every size up to 80 rooms. Mews costs more at every size in the table, and in exchange it brings a far larger integration marketplace, POS and modules we do not sell. Our Frontdesk Anywhere alternative page sets the features side by side.

Card processing and the costs outside the quote

The subscription is only part of the bill. Mews Payments is reported at interchange plus 1.0% on Visa and Mastercard and 3.7% on Amex, plus $0.55 for each tokenized card and $15 per chargeback. On a 24-room hotel doing $600,000 a year in room revenue, a 0.3 point difference in effective card rate is $1,800 a year, which is more than most small-hotel PMS plans. Ask for the rate on your real card mix, including corporate cards.

A two-year term is reported for Mews contracts. Read the renewal and cancellation clauses before you sign, and ask what happens to stored guest cards if you leave.

Then count staff time. Whichever system you choose, the move means rebuilding rooms, rates, channel mappings and staff habits. Plan a slow week, keep the old reports, and at the first month end on the new system, set aside an hour to reconcile card deposits against your bank statement so a missed OTA payout or a double charge shows up before it turns into a dispute.

Questions to ask before you sign a new PMS contract

  • What is the monthly price at my exact room count, with every OTA I sell on connected?
  • Is there a setup, onboarding or data migration fee, and is any migration offer for Frontdesk Anywhere customers still open?
  • How long is the term, and what does it cost to leave early?
  • Do I have to use your payment processor, and what is the effective rate on my card mix?
  • Which modules in the quote can I drop, and which ones does the PMS need to work?
  • Can I export reservations, guest profiles and folios at any time, and in what format?
  • Can you give me two references at a property of my size that moved from Frontdesk Anywhere?

The last question matters most. A hotel that has already made the same move will tell you how long the channel mapping took and what broke on the first busy weekend. Our guide on how to choose a PMS for a small hotel adds the daily checks, from night audit to housekeeping.

Where Innkeeper fits on price

Innkeeper is a cloud PMS for owner-run inns, motels, B&Bs and small hotels up to 80 rooms. Every plan is published on the hotel PMS pricing page: Inn at $49 a month for up to 10 rooms, Hotel at $149 for up to 30 rooms and Boutique at $499 for up to 80 rooms, or half that billed yearly. The tape chart, channel manager software, commission-free booking engine, housekeeping and invoicing are in every plan, with no setup fee, no booking commission and no lock-in. Online payments and deposits start on Hotel with your own processor's standard fee.

We do not sell a point of sale, kiosks or a marketplace of hundreds of apps, and above 80 rooms on one property we are not the right system. If Mews is your other finalist, our Mews alternative page compares the two plainly.

Frontdesk Anywhere pricing questions

Is Frontdesk Anywhere still supported?

Frontdesk Anywhere is now part of Mews. A third-party listing reports that support ended on December 31, 2025, and the frontdeskanywhere.com domain redirects to mews.com. Hotels still running it should ask Mews in writing what their contract covers today and plan a move, either to Mews or to another PMS.

Does Frontdesk Anywhere have a free trial?

Directory listings showed a free trial while Frontdesk Anywhere was sold on its own. Since the Mews acquisition it is no longer offered to new hotels as a separate product. To test a replacement, Innkeeper has a live demo you can open without a sales call and plans you can start by card.

Is Mews more expensive than Frontdesk Anywhere?

For most small and mid-size hotels, yes. Frontdesk Anywhere was listed from $100 a month, while Mews prices per room and is reported at about $300 a month for a 12-room property before card processing and add-ons. Mews includes more modules and integrations, so compare full quotes.

How do I move my data off Frontdesk Anywhere?

Export future reservations, guest and company profiles and rate history as spreadsheets while you still have access, or request the files from Mews support in writing. Save your last night audit and folio reports as PDF. Then import the reservations into the new PMS and keep channels live until each OTA is confirmed.

What is the cheapest alternative to Frontdesk Anywhere for a small hotel?

For a property up to 30 rooms, Innkeeper billed yearly is among the cheapest complete options: $288 a year up to 10 rooms and $888 up to 30, with the channel manager and booking engine included. Check that any cheaper plan includes channels, since a separate channel manager costs $100 a month or more on systems such as InnSoft Check-Inn.
