Mews pricing and what a small hotel pays for the Mews PMS

Mews pricing is per room and quote only: the Mews pricing page lists Mews Core, Mews Pro and Enterprise without public numbers and asks every hotel to talk to sales. Third-party reports put the Mews PMS at about $300 a month for a 12-room property, or $8 to $15 per room, rising to $15 to $25 or more per room once revenue management, POS and payments are added. Costbench reports a median contract of $6,600 a year.

How much does Mews cost?

Mews costs about $300 a month for a small hotel and roughly $1,050 to $1,250 a month for a 45-room hotel before payments, according to RoomMaster's review of Mews quotes. Mews itself publishes no prices. It quotes by room count, property type, country, modules and expected card volume through Mews Payments.

Costbench, working from six buyer reports, gives a median of $6,600 a year and a two-year minimum commitment, and reports no free trial. Ask for your quote in writing and for the term length on the first page. To see what a published price looks like for the same front desk work, open our live demo.

What Mews Core and Mews Pro include, and what costs extra

This table follows the Mews pricing page, which says its sample prices are shown for a 10-room property, plus the cost notes in RoomMaster's review.

Costbench also lists migration, deployment and marketplace integration fees as costs buyers report. None of them is on the pricing page, so ask about each by name.

Monthly cost example for four hotel sizes

The Mews column uses the figures RoomMaster reports from Mews quotes. The Innkeeper columns use our public prices. Card processing is left out of both, so compare it separately.

Property Mews, reported Innkeeper, paid monthly Innkeeper, paid yearly
8-room B&B From about $300, the reported entry price $49 on Inn $24 a month ($288 a year)
12-room inn About $300 $149 on Hotel $74 a month ($888 a year)
45-room hotel About $1,050 to $1,250 $499 on Boutique $249 a month ($2,988 a year)
100-room hotel About $2,000 to $2,500 Above our 80-room plan limit Group plan across properties up to 200 rooms

The honest read: at 100 rooms and above, Mews gives a hotel a broad platform with POS, spaces and a large marketplace, and the per-room price is fair for that. Under about 45 rooms, a 12-room inn pays roughly $25 per room per month for Mews, against about $12 on Innkeeper's monthly Hotel plan and $6 paid yearly.

Other costs to check before you sign

Card processing through Mews Payments

Mews earns part of its revenue on payments. At interchange plus 1.0%, a hotel taking $400,000 a year on Visa and Mastercard pays about $4,000 in margin on top of interchange. Ask whether you can keep your own processor, and compare the effective rate with your current statement.

Channel manager

Many Mews hotels ran SiteMinder as a separate subscription. Ask whether Mews Channel Manager is in your quote, what it costs at your room count, and whether it replaces an existing contract you still need to cancel.

Housekeeping and automations

Both sit on Mews Pro. If your team needs a room status board from day one, price Pro, not Core.

Term length and renewal

Costbench reports a two-year minimum commitment and a 30 to 90 day notice window before the billing cycle ends. Put the renewal date and notice deadline into contract management software that flags renewals or at least your calendar, so a quiet auto-renewal does not lock you in for another term.

Migration and onboarding

Ask for the one-time setup, data migration and training fees in writing. Costbench lists them as buyer-reported costs, and RoomMaster notes there is no free trial, so all of it is decided before you use the system.

How to get a comparable Mews quote

Book the Mews demo with your exact room count, current channel manager and yearly card volume in hand, and ask for each point below in writing so you can compare vendors line by line.

  • Monthly fee at your room count, Core and Pro side by side
  • Whether housekeeping, automations and revenue management are included
  • Which channel manager the quote assumes, and its price
  • Card processing rate, tokenization and chargeback fees, and whether you may use your own processor
  • Setup, migration and training fees
  • Term length, renewal notice and how you export your data if you leave

When a published plan beats a per-room quote

Mews is a strong fit for a hotel of 100 rooms or more, for hostels and long-stay operators, and for groups that want POS, spaces and many integrations in one platform. Its interface gets good marks from reviewers.

For an owner-run hotel, inn or B&B from 4 to 80 rooms, a published plan is simpler to budget. Innkeeper lists every plan on its hotel PMS pricing page: Inn at $49 a month for up to 10 rooms, Hotel at $149 for up to 30 rooms and Boutique at $499 for up to 80 rooms, with the channel manager software, booking engine, invoices and housekeeping board included, and no setup fee, no booking commission and no contract. Our Mews alternative page compares the two systems feature by feature, and the Stayntouch pricing article covers another quote-based system hotels weigh against Mews.
